Seeking dev to lead collaboration in Gumdrop's style

Hi y'all - I've got an idea!

I'm very excited about expanding Gumdrop Galaxies to a broader set of assets, and I hope you all are too.

Unfortunately working in a vacuum is a very inefficient way for me to progress.

So here's a proposition: the best way to guide the growth of the asset library is through the process of making a game.   I'm looking for a developer to take the lead of that game. It just has to match the  style / vibe of the assets I've been releasing so far.

My top priority is to find a good project manager type.  Someone who can set agendas and deadlines and prevent the project from going over scale or too far past schedule.  I'm good for several aspects of dev in  a fix but want to focus on the art side as much as possible.  Visit me on the discord or comments section of https://ko-fi.com/robocelot or @/DM me https://twitter.com/robaweselot  and we can talk about your pitch.  I'd recommend leaving a comment on this dev log if you're interested in meeting others to collaborate with but don't want to take the lead

I’d be interested in discussing a collaboration, particularly regarding character sprites, although admittedly my project is something of a hobby project and may not meet the timeframes you’re looking for. You can check out some material related to it here:

Thanks for replying.  Game is looking sick, and I totally get hobby projects and taking it easy.  But you already have a bunch of great art assets and the genre doesn't really match my style.  Although to be fair if I were to adapt this stuff for RPG Maker it would immediately gain access to a much larger market

Thanks, and I wouldn’t worry too much about adapting your stuff. Plugins exist to implement a Legend of Zelda-style on map battle/tool system and to break the spritesheet format requirements for more poses and frames. If you were looking to advertise there more heavily you could probably put together a sample project to showcase the assets.

I open to discussion, search bad kid games on instagram or access our site, badkid.games

Sent a message on the site, but my personal email is a mess.  I also followed your studio on twitter w/ the handle @robawesolot most reliable contact method as I'm not an Insta/FB user

Hi,

I'm not sure I'll find time for this, but probably that you can post this proposition on the Phaser (2D engine for browser games) Discord forum: https://discord.gg/phaser

I hope it'll work out for you.

Good job so far!

Thanks mate
